    This is where Missouri wanted to become a state and that would make the scale unequal with slave states and free states. Congress came up with the idea to put a line on the 33rd parrell and everything under it will be a slave state.

    This was an idea by a man named Wilmot to get rid of the gag rule about slavery and this caused congress to talk about their differences and pushed them closer to war.

    This is where Dred Scott tried to sue a slave owner but the supreme court ruled that he is property and he has no rights and must go and do whatever his owner says. This impacted history because it gave slave owners the power to move all across the country.

    This is where John brown and his family invaded the U.S. arsenal and expected thousands of slaves to join them but no one came. so John Brown was captured. this started the fighting.
