    The treaty of Paris is the offical treaty that ended the French and Indian war. This caused British to claim all of France's land in North America. All of the Spanish land was taken also do to the fact that they sided with the French during the war.

  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Parliment in England had passed an act that everyone in America had to pay a 3 cent tax on sugar. Tnis tax also included wine, coffe and indigo.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Act passed by British parliment, states that the colonists have to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper that they used. Includes newspapers, licenses, legal documents, also playing cards.

    The Declaratory Act
    States that all colonists have to obey any law parliment passes as long as they take away the Stamp act. This act made the colonists unhappy.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend act stated that taxes had to be payed on glass, oil, lead, paper and tea. This angered colonists just as the Stamp act did and caused more hostilities.

    The Boston Massacre was a fight between a group patriots who were throwing sticks, stones, and snowballs at British soilders. The soilders fired on the group of people, severl people were killed in the massacre.

    The British goverment decided the can gain more benifits from the colonies. They pressed greater taxes on the Colonists and this angered them.

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The battle of Lexington and Concord was the very first battles of the American Revoultion and it signaled its start. Thomas Gage sent soilders to destry weapons and ammunition the the colonists were holding in Concord, they were also sent to arrest Samuel Adams and John Hancock.
