    the final colonist battle from 1756-1763. in this war it was between the british and the french, but the title is called the french and indian war because both sides involved in the war tried to get the indans to fight with them. after the war had ended the colonnist were heavly taxed to pay for the war. later on in the advancement of civilazation this will come back to lead the colonist to a revolution.

    Durring 1759 the time was coming closer for the canadians do defend there hard earned land. in febuary 1759 the british began there sail to a city about 6 miles away from Quebec. durring the British invasion the canadians had 16,000 soldjers ready to fight in defence of their city, but at the end of the day the british had a very strong uphill attack planed out for the canadians and then they seized the city after all the bloodshed was over.

    Act that put a three-cent tax on foreign refined sugar and increased taxes on coffee, indigo, and certain kinds of wine. It banned importation of rum and French wines. These taxes affected some of the population.

    First direct British tax on American colonists. Every newspaper, pamphlet, and other public and legal document had to have a Stamp, or British seal, on it. The Stamp cost money.

    Patrick Henrey's "If this be treason" speech
    "Give me liberty, or give me death!" an outspoken critic of the Stamp Act and introduced seven resolutions against it to the Virginia House of Burgesses. He was the first governor of Virginia and led the fight for the adoption of the Bill of Rights.

    5 colonists were shot because of a crowd starting and argument and throwing snow balls and rocks. Paul Reveere scetched a picture of the soldiers shooting the colonists for no reason. This is the first example of propaganda.

    First Continental Congress
    Two groups of people from all over the 13 Colonies who came together to discuss liberty. The First Continental Congress was a group of 56 delegates from 12 colonies who met in Philadelphia in September of 1774. They came together to act together in response to the Intolerable Acts. They met in secret because they didn't want Great Britain to know that they were united.
