End of French and Indian War
The Treaty of Paris was sgined in 1763. This ended the French and Indian War. The French lost all land in America. The Spainish got all the land to the west of the Mississippi River. The English got all land east of the Mississippi -
Proclamation of 1763
To stop the colonies from traveling west and getting into more fights with the Native Americans, England proclaimed the Proclamation of 1763. This allowed the colonies to colonize so far west. This angured the colonies because they fought in the war so they wanted the land. -

Sugar Act
To help pay off the huge debt England has collect from the French and Indian War, They started to tax the colonists. The Sugar Act was the first tax put on the colonies. It imposed a tax of six pence per gallon of molasses. -
Stamp Act
This was another tax imposed on the colonists. This imposed a tax on all printed items. -
Townshend Acts
This was more of and act then a tax. This act said that colonists must houses British troops -
Boston Massacre
This was one of the acts of protest against the taxes. On March 5, 1770, British troops fire on a group of protesters. The protesters were trowing stones and snowballs at the troops. At this confrontation, 5 colonists were killed. -
Tea Act
The Tea Act was the next tax on the colonists. This one angured the colonists the most. This act put a tax on tea. -
Boston Tea Party
This was one act of rebelion aganist England's tea act. The colonists dressed up as Native Americans. They went to the Boston Harbor and dumped a shippment of tea into the harbor. Becasue of this, England closed Boston Harbor -
First Continetial Congress
This was one of the first meetings to discuss the taxes imposed on the colonies. This convetion had delegates from each colony (minus Georgia) This was another act of rebelion from the colnies -

This was the first battle of the American Revolution. It was known as the "shot herad around the world"
