This was the last outbreak of plague in central Russia, which started in the Moldovan Theater and spread through Ukraine and central Russia, roughly 50 to 100 thousand lives were taken in Moscow alone. The Plague peaked in Moscow in 1771 which initiated the Plague riot. -

The first partition of Poland took place sometime in 1772 and it was when Russia, Prussia, and Austria each took a piece of Poland's territory to themselves. Later on, as further partitions happened Poland stopped existing for for over a century because the three neighbors had devoured Poland's territory. -
The Treaty of Kuchuk- Kainardji
A treaty in 1774 gained Russia access to a coastline on the Black sea, created Russian bases at Kerch and Enikale, allowed access to trade routes which led from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean, built a Russian Orthodox church in Constantinople, and allowed the protection of Christianity in the Ottoman empire. -
Russian Swedish War 1788 - 1790
In the 1780 King Gustav III the absolute leader of Sweden, ruling since 1772, thought initiating a war may help to distract the people. The Swedish army dressed in Russian uniforms attacked a Swedish border in Finland, which caused an outraging response from the general public and a declaration of war on Russia was filed. -

Catherine died of a stroke in the Winter Place in St. Petersburg, Russia. -
Third Partition of Poland
On October 24th, 1795, representatives from Russia, Prussia, and Austria came together to discuss the further partition of Poland, and they decided that after the Kosciuszko rebellion they wanted to take the rest of Poland's territory so they could completely eliminate it. The treaty to confirm this was signed on January first 1797 in St. Petersburg and it was finally made official.
