Catherine Des Roches made a political verse in which she adressed to the king Henri the third.This versre gives her the persona of a conseiller, praising and reminding Henri the third his duties to his kingdom.

She had a desire to be political discourse in some way in order to become well known among the people. Soon enough in 1577 the Poitiers hosted the royal family. Meanwhile, Henri III negotiated the Peace of Bergerc. Soon in september 14 it turned into a success.

Her mother asked for an indemnity from the king, which lead to the destruction of two of her houses.There was only seven copies of the library collections of her book. This edition emphasizes national reputation their mother- daughter team from poitiers.

In 1582 L'angelier got a hold of a small amount of copies of Catherine's book because of his royal Privileges. This edition had poems about resistance and empowerment at this time. This book was published by Nicolas Courtois, a plublisherof the University of Poitiers.

Death

Both Catherine des Roches and her mother Madeleine des Roches died the same exact day. The reasons for their death on the same exact day was an epidemic that hit during this time, which affected them, The empidemic was called cholera and it killed alot of people.
