Yossarian receives basic training in Lowry, Colorado. -
1943
Yossarian is sent to Santa Ana, California for Cadet Training before being deployed. -
Early 1944
Yossarian is deployed to Pianosa, Italy with Appleby and Kraft. He must complete 25 missions before being sent home.
Colonel Cathcart arrives after the death of Colonel Nerves. -
May, 1944
Kraft and Coombs die on Ferrera Mission.
Yossarian gets promoted to Captain and Milo appointed mess officer -
June, 1944
Allies enter Rome, while Yossarian and Nately are in Rome, Nately falls in love. -
July, 1944
Snowden is killed in Yossarian's arms in first Avignon mission. Yossarian appears naked at Snowdens funeral and accepts his medal from the Ferrera mission. He appears naked because he swears to never put on another uniform after being covered in Snowdens blood. -
September, 1944
Yossarian now must complete 55 missions to return home.
He requests to be sent home, but request is denied.
Orr disappears. -
October, 1944
70 missions are now required to be sent home. -
Late June, 1944
Yossarian moves the bomb line over Bologna, as well as poisons the mess hall a second time.
Missions raised to 40. -
December, 1944
Missions needed to completed to be sent home increases to 80.
Dobbs and Nately die on La Spezia mission their 72nd.
After hearing this news, Yossarian refuses to fight any longer in a meaningless war.
Yossarian is offered to be promoted to major and sent home if he "cooperates" and "says nice things" about his commanding officers. -
December, 1944
Yossarian declines offer made by Colonel Korn.
Yossarian gets stabbed by Nately's 'girlfriend'.
Hungry Joe passes away in his sleep after Yossarian realizes he is his only friend that is still alive.
Yossarian is told Orr is alive in Sweden and immediately deserts the military to find him.
