Battle Of Port Royal
One of the earliest amphibious operations of the Civil War. Gaurded by two forts on opposite sides of the ports and 4 gunboats. The gunboats did not materially affect the battle.
The casualties of the Union were 31 and the casualties of the Confederate were 63. -
Confederate Winter Quarters
The Confederate Army of Northern Virginia maintained these winter quarters near Centreville, VA during the winters of 1861-62. They were far superior to the Union. -

Sheridan's calvary attacked the crossroads of Old Cold Harbor, threw back an attack by Confederate. One of the final battles of the war, The casualties for the Union were 12.737 and the casualties for the Confederate were 4,595. -
The Assassination of President Abraham Lincoln
The assassination took place on a 'good Friday.' Lincoln was shot in Ford's Theatre by actor, John Wilkes Booth.
Happened five days after Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant.
Licoln was the first president to be assassinated. -
The Fall Of Richmond
Very bloody - The Union was held back 10 months at Petersburg. Confederate became weak and abandoned it. This battle was 10 miles away from Richmond, Virginia. -
The Siege Of Petersburg
A total of nine months of trench warfare. City was surrounded and the supply lines were cut off.
Lee abandoned both cities after growing tired of the battle.
