Reformers rose up against British colonial to fight for democracy. In the end the Rebels lost but there efforts planted the seeds of responsible government and laid the foundations for a new country. -
Upper Canada rebellion
associated with William Lyon Mackenzie a reformer, news paper editor and mayor of Toronto who waged war of words on the ruling oligarchy in the province. -
Rebelion 1837-1838
In Lower Canada they were not happy with the Family concept. a rebeilion was being formed and controlled by the patriot party and Louis Joseph Papineau. -
