The Canada First movement was a party that began in Canada soon after confederation. Its objective was to support the growth of unbiased loyalty to the new dominion of Canada. Sir Wilifrid Laruier was the seventh Prime Minister of Canada from 11 July 1896 to 6 October 1911. He is well known for his policies of resolution, expanding Confederation, and cooperation between French and English Canada. He also reasoned for an English-French conglomerate in Canada.
