    Cameras were invented to preserve an image. To save a special moment in life and capture it for a life-time. Before cameras were invented, people had to draw and paint inorder to capture a piece of history. During those times many self portraits were drawn.

    Although it was about 100 year later, George Eastman (1854–1932) created the first camera with film inside. This cmaera was called the Kodak #1. The Kodak was a simple box camera that came loaded with a 100-exposure roll of film to display the pictures.

    The first Polaroid camera, called the Model 95, and its associated film went on sale in 1948 at a department store in Boston. The cameras sold out in minutes. On November 26, 1948, Edwin Land debuted his first "Land Camera," dubbed the Model 95A. This was the first "Polaroid camera," as we'd popularly know it.

    Now that technology has improved, cameras have improved too. Instead of carrying a heavy camera with us all the time, we have a camera installed in our phone. Although we still use Polaroid and Digital cameras, it is practical to use the camera built in our phones.
