    As the head of the state Sihanouk took on various responsibilities as the king of Cambodia.

    He was murdered by the Cambodian government at the WPK’s second congress.

  • Saloth Sar fled Phnom Penh

    When Saloth Sar left he went and hid on the Vietnamese border.

  • The U.S bombed Cambodia

    The U.S.A made an operation to bomb Cambodia. They bombed them from air command.

  • The Khmer Rouge guerrillas took Phnom Penh

    The currency was abolished and city dwellers sent to work in the fields.
