Introduction
Bruce Jenner was born on October 28, 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York. The young athlete started off as any normal kid would. She went to school and participated in football and basketball. She was forced to give those both up for track due to a knee injury. School was never easy for Jenner. She was diagnosed with dyslexia early in her life. -
First Marriage
Caitlyn’s first marriage was with Chrystie Crownover. She had two kids, Casey and Burt. (1972-1981) -
Olympics in Munich
Caitlyn qualified for the 1972 Olympics in Munich. She placed third at trials and tenth at the games. -
Olympics in Montreal
Finally achieving stardom at the 1976 Olympic games at Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Jenner won the Olympic gold and set a world record. She earned 8,634 points in total toward team USA. Setting a tradition, Jenner was handed an American flag by a bystander and ran a victory lap. Jenner was very hardworking and never put in anything less than one hundred percent into her athletics. -
Book
After the olympics, Caitlyn was inspired to write the book, Decathlon Challenge. “Bruce Jenner's Story and Finding the Champion Within”(A&E Television Networks). The famous athlete has stated, "I always felt that my greatest asset was not my physical ability, it was my mental ability”(Caitlyn Jenner). -
Fame
Years following the Olympics, Jenner was stuck in the spotlight. She had endorsements, speaking engagements, TV appearances and so much more. She was a guest on TV series like ChiPs and The American Sportsman. She also became one of seven spokesmen for Wheaties. She also appeared in many movies such as Original Intent and Can’t Stop the Music. This was the time she started living the lifestyle of a celebrity. -
Second Marriage
The next marriage was Linda Thompson. The two had kids, Brandon and Brody. (1981-1984) -
Third Marriage
The third and final marriage is Kris Kardashian. They had two daughters, Kendall and Kylie(1991-Oct 2013) The couple was interviewed and said,"We will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority”(Caitlyn Jenner and Kris Kardashian). -
Reality TV
Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on E! for the first time in 2007. The reality TV show is still popular to this day. It is a show in the life of a Kardashian. As the years go on, it's basically a documentary of the whole family, as they grow older, and the things they experience. -
Car Crash
The afternoon of February 7, 2015 Caitlyn was involved in a very dramatic car accident. In Malibu, California Jenner was one of the many vehicles involved in the multi-crash collision. Many were hospitalized, and one woman died. Jenner was given a series of sobriety tests and passed them all. SHe was under much investigation as to what exactly caused the crash. -
The Transition
Interview Gradual transitions and changes in Jenner's appearance finally are coming together. In April of 2015 Caitlyn had an interview with Diane Sawyer and came out to the world and told everyone that she is transitioning. She makes it clear that she is not “a man stuck in a woman’s body” that she is herself(Caitlyn Jenner). In June, Caitlyn announced she finally completed her transition and is officially a woman. -

A new reality TV show all about Caitlyn is released. This TV show is the daily life of Caitlyn. She shares her journey with us and in hopes of helping others along the way. -

Vanity Fair Not long after that, Vanity Fair released their July article cover with Caitlyn on it. Caitlyn says, “I feel such a responsibility to this courageous group to try to get it right and tell all sides of the story. To me, that’s always the biggest question: am I doing it right?”(Caitlyn Jenner). She has a whole new chapter in her life and she is ready to share it with the world. -
ESPY Awards
Speech Jenners first public appearance was on July 15, 2015 at the ESPY Awards. She received the Arthur Ashe award for her tremendous courage. In her speech she talked about the difficulty of her transition. Caitlyn makes it very clear that she doesn't want this experience to be all about her. She is very humble. She wants to take this chance to promote and advertise the transgender community(Full Speech 2015 ESPY Awards). -

In her Diane Sawyer interview she was talking about how scary it is to face the world as a new person. She is my inspiration; she is not afraid to be who she is. People nowadays are becoming more accepting, but not accepting enough. I have the same belief as Caitlyn, “Let’s live our true selves and make a positive difference while doing it.” That quote will stick with me forever.
