During the time of segregation, African Americans had to give up their seat to a white person. Rosa Parks was worn out after a day of working on her feat, refused to give up her seat and was incarcerated for it. -

The activist Martin Luther King was assasinated at Lorraine Motel by James Earl Ray. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, and was pronounced dead at 7:05 pm.
