Our family watched TV on a small 19-inch, black and white television. There were only three stations: KSL, ABC, and CBS. Dad or Mom decided what we would watch, because not all my siblings could agree on what we would watch after school. -
Colored Television

I watched my mom use the phone, and I would play with it when she was not looking. However, ours hung on the wall. I would have to climb on a chair to get to it. -

Remote controlled Television
Before the remote control, we had to get up and move across the room, turn a knob to change the channels on the television. -

My husband and I bought our first personal computer. I did not start using the computer for several years after we bought it. I would manage our banking account and word process only. Jeff used it much more. We had dial-up internet. I remember using floppy discs. -
Cordless Phone with Answering Machine
I loved being able to carry the phone with me around the house while I got things done, To see who was calling, or who had called was extremely helpful. I could choose to answer/return the call or not. -
New Model of Personal Computer
I went back to school and started using the PC for word processing/writing papers for my classes. I also got an email address that I did not use much at all. Continued online banking. We went from floppy discs to CDs -
