After a day or two the butterfly cacoon turns green. that is the first stage. -

in about 14 days the butterfly cacoon will go to stage 2. it will turn clear. -
butterfly cacoon stage 3
it takes about 15 days to get to stage 3. -
adult butterfly
after the butterfly has hatched from its cacoon it is now a adult butterfly. and the stage starts over again -
starts over
once it becomes a adult butterfly it starts over again -
as many eggs
an adult butterfly can have as many puppils as it wants.
