    The federal court denied Hobby Lobby’s request to stop the enforcement of the mandate that was made.     Hobby Lobby was petitioning for a hearing from the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Finally this petition was granted March 29, 2013. Instead of just speaking for a 3 judge panel, which they were originally only able to do, was granted a full court hearing for their case.

     Federal government appeals the U.S. Court of Appeals
    The 10th Circuit ended up voting in favor of the Greens. They overturned the federal court’s denial that was ruled in November of 2012. However, things didn’t slow down from there. The United States Government appealed the decision made by the 10th Circuit. They also asked the Supreme Court to take the case in its upcoming docket.

    The Hobby Lobby decision came on the last day of June. The Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 favor of Hobby Lobby. What this now means is that companies don’t have to rule in favor of all forms of the contraception as mandated in the Affordable Care Act.
