My parents bought my grandma a mobile phone so that she wouldn't miss any phone calls while she was working in her yard. She put it in her apron pocket and went outside, but couldn't understand how it could work outside without a cord. -
Tape Player
For Christmas each year a got a piece of equipment for my stereo. I was thrilled when I got my tape player and could record my own mixes off of the radio. -

Eventually I got my own CD player too! -
Cell phone
A year after I was married my husband bought me my first cell phone. It was bulky and heavy! -
