Dred Scott Decisions
Dred scott was a slave that swore he had been emancipated as a result of living with his master in the free stated. He lived in illinois which is a free state but claimed to still be slaved. The decision did more than resolve the fate of an old black man and his family. -

Lincoln was the first American president to be assassinated. The assassination was planned and carried out by the well-known stage actor John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln was watching a play when a man shot him in the head. -

Watergate affair It happened at the watergate complex when someone broke into the Democratic National Committee headquarters. 5 men were arrested for breaking and entering. The indictment occurred as Nixon was running for re-election in 1972. He defeated Democratic opponent George McGovern. -
Clinton Impeachment
President Clinton was charged with lying under oath to a grand jury after 14 hours of debate. He then began an affair with Monica Lewinsky, a 21 year old intern. -
9/11/01
On 9/11/01 19 members of the al- Qaeda stole 4 u.s. planes and used them to strke different places on the east coast. The carefully planned attackes killed about 3,000 people. This was the worst attack in U.S. history.
