England was inhabited by the Celtic people. The spoke languages similar to moderm Welsh or Gaelic. -

THE ROMANS
Britain comes from Britannia. The Romans arrived to Britain led by Julius Caesar. They stayed for almost 400 years. They introduced: roards, baths, bridges and waterpipes. The language was latin which influenced English language .
They built the hadrian's wall to protect Britain from the Barbanic people in the North. -

THE ANGLO-SAXONS
The tribes ANGLO-SAXONS invaded the British Isles.
They came from Germany,Denmark and the Netherlands.
It was the origin of England,the English people and the Old English Language. -

THE VIKINGS
In the centuary Vikings came from Scandinavia. They were great travellers and conquered large parts of what is now England. -

THE NORMANS
In 1066 England was invaded by the Normans led by Duke William of Normandy. After the Battle of Hastings he became King and was known as William the Conqueror. English monarchy was born. -
THE TUDORS
The Tudors reigned from 1485 to 1603. The most famous Tudor King is Henry VIII: he had six wives and in 1534 he broke from the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church and established the Church of England, of which he was Head.
Elizabeth I , Henry VIII's daughter, was the last monarch of the Tudor dynasty and England was one of the most powerful and prosperous counties in the world. -
THE VICTORIANS
The Indrustrial Revolution stared in England and made it the first the industrial nation in the world .
In 1837 Victoria was crowned qeen , Britain built a large and powerful empire . -
WORLD WAR I and WORLD WAR II
In the 20th century Britain was involved in the two world wars. -
THE WINDSORS
In 1952 George VI died and his eldest daughter became Queen Elizabeth II.
