  • Jess runs every morning

    Jess wants to be the fastest kid in the fifth grade so he is practicing.

  • Girls go shopping

    The girls are good at talking up deals because their mother previously said they couldn't go.

  • Leslie moves into the Old Perkins Place

    Her family wants to start a slow life instead of living in the suburbs.

  • Jess meets Leslie as she was watching him run

    Jess is skittish around her and tries to make an excuse to leave

  • First day of school

    Everyone thinks that Leslie is weird because of the way she dresses

  • Leslie wins the running race

    All the boys are ashamed that they've been beaten be a girl.

  • Jess started to like Leslie

    Jess started to accept Leslie for who she is.

  • Mrs. Myers reads Leslie's composition

    She reads it because she had an interesting hobby and it was neatly written

  • Leslie was crying in the girls room

    She was crying because the girls were picking on her for the clothes she wears and the fact that she doesn't have a television set.

  • Leslie and Jess create Terabithia

    They wanted to make their own place where they could both just go.

  • Janice Avery stole Maybelles twinkies

    Maybelle kept screaming on the bus that she got a pack of Twinkies and that attracted Janice Avery to steal them from her

  • Jess and Leslie decide to do something about Janice Avery.

    They decide to put a stop to her bullying

  • They came up with a way to get back at Janice Avery

    They decide to create a fake note from Willard Houghes that says he wants to go on a date with her.

  • Jess gets Leslie a Christmas Present

    Jess got Leslie a puppy that they named P.T.

  • Jess starts to go over to the Burkes house

    Jess wants to start getting comfortable around Bill

  • Janice Avery is in the girls room crying on a toilet

    She is crying because her dad beats her.

  • Leslie is going to go to church with the Aarons's for Easter

    Leslie enjoyed church very much and wants to go again sometime.

  • Ms. Edwards asks Jess if he want to go to the Smithsonian Art museum.

    Jess says yes but forgets to ask her if Leslie could come along with them.

  • Leslie Burke passes away

    While Jess was at the Smithsonian, Leslie wanted to go to Terabithia without him. The rope broke and she fell and hit her head on a rock and died. Jess is very upset. A few days later Bill moves back to Pennsylvania.
