The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) data was collected via health-related telephone surveys across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and three U.S. territories. This dataset includes information on health-related risk behaviors, chronic health conditions, and use of preventive services. -
Data Migration and Storage
As part of the expansion, the data was transferred to a new location. The data set and codebook were copied to a flash drive and imported into a new SQL database system. -
Data Integrity Issue Discovery
A new data analyst discovered issues with the data after the SQL import. Some rows of data were unreadable due to characters in the CSV file that were not properly handled by the SQL database.
