    1. At 4:45 AM, 1.5 million German soldiers invaded Poland. The Luftwaffe bombed Polish airfields. German ships and U-boast attacked the Polish Naval forces that were in the Baltic Sea.
    2. Hitler wanted to take the other European countries for Germany's people.
    3. After the German army invaded Poland, Britain declared war on Germany since Britain signed a agreement with Poland that if Germany invades you, we will declare war on Germany.

    1. German's took over Paris after France wanted peace with Germany. 2 million Parisians fled. Gestapo interrogated and arrested citizens that hadn't fled.
    2. Because France surrendered to Nazi Germany. 3.France was then taken over by Nazi Germany.

    1. Japanese planes attack ships and the naval base at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. Completely destroyed 2 ships, beached 12 ships, and damaed 9 other ships.
    2. Japan attacked us so they could take over the Phillipines because if they didn't we would of sent reinforcements to stop the Japanese from taking the Phillipines over.
    3. Lost 2 ships completely and lost 2,300 Americans.

    1. Largest battle on the western front in Europe. German's pushed back in allied forces. Was in heavely forest area. U.S lost many men. U.S. troops were stranded out so it was easy for them to be attacked.
    2. German's wanted to push back American troops in France.
    3. America lost 20,000 men. 20,000 men were captured and 40,000 were wounded.

    1. U.S. Troops were sent to the island to take of the vital air bases to invade Japan . Was the largest battle in the pacific theatre. U.S. took it over but lost a lot of men.
    2. U.S. needed the air bases their and a large enough island to launch an invasion on Japan.
    3. U.S. lost 65,000 men and Japan llost 77,000 men.

    1, Hiroshima- B-29 bomb drops the world's first atomic bomb 80,000 were killed. Nagasaki- Adapted B-29 bomber drops the second bomb and it killed 60,000 to 80,000 people.
