FIrst bomb was dropped on Hiroshima because there was no reply from Japan about surrendering. It destroyed and killed a lot of people and land.

Nagasaki

Aug 9, 1945

3 days later US bombed Nagasaki to just prove that they were serious about Japan surrendering, serious about ending this war, and serious that we were the almighty and most powerful nation.
