At age 12 Bobby was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes .He says "At that age I was fascinated about recieving shots." -
bobby lost his vision
In his first year of lawschool Bobby Mcmullen began losing his vision.Altough he suffered many hardships he still remains optimistic.He even said that"the cup is neither half empty or half full it is just full." -
President Bill Clinton
Met with Bill Clinton in 1993. It was Bobbys first year of law school. -
Kidney failure
In 1996during a competition BobbyS kidneys began to fail by the end of the year he was back on dialysis -
The transplant
In 1997 Bobby recieved a double organ transplant and started skiing again -
Paralympic Olympian Bobby
bobbys lifeIn 1998 bobby joined a paralympic skiing race in Nagono,Japan.
He took 5th place. -
Retirement
Bobby retired from skiing in 2001 but he didnt stop there he just wanted to try something new. -
Second double transplant
Endured two years on dialysis before his second double organ transplant in 2003. he said "there has never been a sad day in his life." he has remained optimistic and will remain optimistic. -
Races completed since 2004
Since 2004 Bobby has competed in at least 25 downhill races,and a few 8 to 12 hour races -

Bobby participated in the Nissan Xterra world championship mountain biking triatholon in 2005. -

Bobby got covered by CBS while doing the Nissan Xterra mountain biking triatholon,and was put on CBS [sports spectacular] -

Bobby competed in a race across America a 3000 mile race.He was riding for team:Donate to life to raise money for transplant resaerch. -
