Diabetes wasn't a problem for Bobby at all. He was only 12 years old when he was diagnosed. He was alredy an active boy. Diabetes never affected Bobby's life until he was 29. He thought it meant he just had to be more active. It was good news to his ears. -

He was a part of skiing for 10 years. -

Chris Waddell is a big fan of Bobby. He is also a disabled skier himself. -

He experienced symptoms of kidney failure at the World Championship games in Oct. 1996 -

Bobby McMullen actually had to get two double transplants( kidney& pancreas twice) -

Bobby & Therese met eachother in the hospital as nurse & patient. They soon began dating. Therese opened up the door for being able to compete. Bobby had to be helped, but he became a great biker, especially for being blind. He practiced all of the time. He even bought a bike and equipment. He was a new athelete. -
