Grant was drafted 8th to the Edmonton Oilers. He played for ten seasons and teamed with Andy Moog, another goalie. -
Honorable
Did you know that Grant Fuhr was the first African American goalie to join the NHL? He was also the first African A. to win a Stanley Cup. -
The Surprise Retirement
In my opinion, I don't think that Grant was ready for retirement. It basically took everyone by surprise. The issue was that star players were undervalued and underpaid. Grant finally had enough and shared his retirement photo standing a golf cart lol. -

Grant was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. -
MVP On the Team
Grant Fuhr played for an entire decade with the Edmonton Oilers. He won five Stanley Cups and named one of the '100 Greatest NHL Players' in history. -
