Andrew Carnegie Does Public Good
He devoted the last eighteen years of his life to using his wealth for the public good. In 1911 he gave a gift of $125 million to establish the Carnegie Corporation of America which provides funding to institutions and organizations that conduct research on education and public affairs. -
Andrew Carnegie Dies
Carnegie died on in 1919, in Lenox, Massachusetts, at his Shadow Brook estate, of Bronchial Pneumonia.
