!st Amendment
The 1st Amendment states that you have the freedoms of speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition -
2nd Amendment
This Amendment says that states have the right to keep a maintained militia and US citizens can have guns -
3rd Amendment
This amendment guarantees that the government can not force people to house, feed, cloth, or take care of soldiers -
4th Amendment
Police cannot take your propery or search it without a warrant or probable cause -
5th Amendment
A person can be tried for a serious crime by only a grand jury, no one can be tried twice for the same crime, all people are protected against self-incrimination -
6th Amendment
Anyone accused of a crime can have a speedy trial, they must be informed of what they are accused of doing, they also have the right to an attorney -
7th Amendment
The right to trial by jury is guaranteed in any civil case in a federal court if the amount of money involved in that case exceeds $20 -
8th Amendment
Bail is the sum of money that a person accused of crime may be required to pay in order to get out of jail before their trial date, its a promise that they will show up on that date, also there will be no cruel and unusual punishmment -
9th Amendment
Even though the constitution covers many things it doesnt necessarily cover everything but that doesnt mean that there are basic rights that can be violated -
10th Amendment
All the powers not mentioned in the constitution are left up to the states
