Amendment I
First amenmdnet gives us the freedom of speech, religion, press, petition, and assembly. -
Amendment II (2)
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. -
Amendment III (3)
No Soldier shall be permitted in time to be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, or in time of war. -
Amendment IV (4)
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no excpetions can be issued, only upon probable cause. -
Amendment V (5)
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury. (Due process, self incrimination) -
Amendment Vi (6)
The sixth amendment is the section of the Bill of Rights that guarantees a citizen a speedy trial, a fair jury, an attorney if the accused person wants one, and the chance to confront the witnesses who is accusing the defendant. -
Amendment VII (7)
The seventh amendment guarantees the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States. (iimpartial jury, right to lawyer) -
Amendment VIII (8)
The eighth amendment prohibitis he federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishments, including torture. -
Amendment IX (9)
The Ninth Amendment addresses rights, retained by the people, that are not specifically enumerated in the Constitution. -
Amendment X (10)
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States.
