Patna University Establishment
The Patna University, Hindi: the first university in Bihar, was established in 1917 during the British Raj, and is the seventh oldest university of the Indian subcontinent. At that time, the jurisdiction of the university extended to Bihar, Orissa, and the Kingdom of Nepal.
The university oversaw examinations for educational institutions ranging from school finals to the postgraduate levels. This continued almost for four decades, until the establishment of the Tribhuvan University. -

Patna Medical College, established in 1925 and originally known as Prince of Wales Medical College, is a medical college located in Patna, the state capital of Bihar, India.It is located on the southern bank of the river Ganges and is affiliated to Patna University.
The college was a premier center for imparting medial education in pre-independence era, producing doctors such as Dr.Banerjee Dr. Dukhan Ram etc.
Even now the college handles one of the biggest patient loads. -
