Betsy married a man named Joseph Ashburn one year after Johns death. Unfortunetally, Joseph died after being captured on a British ship in 1781. -

Betsy married a third time in 1783. Married to John Claypoole. John died after 34 years in 1817 of a life long disability. -

Betsy dies at 84 in Philadelphia. Years after her death her grandson shares that she made the flag. Betsy was a very important person in American History. She passed away in her sleep. -
