How She Made The Flag
No one actually knows who made the first offical American Flag. But everyone still givies credit to Betsy Ross. Betsy Ross was actually sent from George Washington to sew copies of the flag, she actually gave a few suggestions including making the stars have five points instead of six. Betsy Ross's home at 239 Arch Street is preserved as the flag's birthplace. -

She died on Jan. 30, 1836. -
Fun Facts
George Washington attended the same church as Betsy and John Ross. Benjamin Franklin's nephew attended their wedding. She has been buried in three different places: Christ Church Cemetery, Mt. Moriah Cemetery, and the courtyard next to the Betsy Ross House.
