Sarah is a close family friend of the Hamiltons,who just so happens to be Bethanys youth pastor. Bethany and Sarah are very good friends! She helped Bethany undersatnd why God put her through this. -

The Attack
One helloween morning Bethany her friend Alona and Alona's brother and dad decided to go surfing. They were surfing and then the waves stoped so they waited in the water for the waves to start. While they were waiting a shark came and ripped Bethanys arm off! Then she was rushed to the hospital because she was losing most of her bodies blood! -

When Bethany got home from the hospital she had a hard time ajusting toher new life! She could not do things she could before like getting dressed and picking up things at the store. -

Back On Bord
A few weeks after the attack Bethany wanted to start surfing agian. So,Bethany and her family went out to surf. Bethany had a hard time standing up on the bord but she tried and tried and she got up. It was still very hard to get up so her dad put a handel on the bord to help her! -

Since Bethany has such a great story movie producers wanted to make it into a movie and they did.They did! It came out on April 8th 2011. It was a big hit. -
What is Bethany doing now?
Now Bethany still lives in Kauai,Hawaii with her family. Bethany is about to turn 22 this Febuary.Her movie came out April 8th 2011.Also Bethanys dreams of being a pro surfer came true and she treavels that world for surfing comptitions. -
