Beowulf travels to the home of Grendel's Mother. The lake is as black as the night sky. It is so filled with evil that a deer would rather die of thirst on the bank than drink from it. -

A giant sword hung on the wall in the home of Grendel's Mother. It was hammered by giants, strong, heavy, and blessed with the magic of the giants. It was the best of all weapons, but it was so heavy that no commoner could lift it. But Beowulf is no common man. -

Return Home
Beowulf returns to Herot, with the head of Grendel's Mother. The head had to be carried by four men via a spear jammed through the demon's head. Beowulf grabbed the head by the hair, and carried it into Herot. -

Beowulf and Grendel's Mother fought fiercely. But neither could harm the other, as Beowulf's chain mail armor stopped Grendel's Mother's Claws, but his sword could not penetrate her skin. -

Beowulf raised the mighty sword above his head. He swung, hitting Grendel's Mother in the neck. Her head went rolling as her blood melted the sword like ice on a hot day.
