Benito Mussolini was shot once, and murder was attempted twice more after. All of the "murderer" were either sent to jail or executed. -

Mussolini was re-baptized, getting many catholics to side with his anti-socialist government. -

Mussolini took government control over Italian businesses. He wanted to trade with most other European countries, except for Germany. -

Death
He was shot by Communists. Mussolini's other Fascist members were also executed.
