The Lightning Rod was invented by Benjamin Franklin and Prokop Divis. A Lightning Rod catches lightning at the top of a tall building and harmlessley diverts the lightning into the ground. -

Cornelius Drebble invented the Submarine. It was made out of wood, and instead of propellers, it had four ores to move it in the water. Future inventions such as steel and propellers have made Submarines better. -

Cotton gin was a simple machine that pulled the cottonseed from the cotton fibres. The cotton gin established throughout the country. Many people loved this invention because they didn't have to spend hours doing what it did. -

Thomas Savery brought in plans for an engine that would be powered by using steam. George Stephenson built the first locomotive. When it was first built the locomotive could only travel 4 kilometres an hour but more were built and they became faster and faster.. -

Instant coffee was invented by George Washington (not the president of America) Instant coffee was a step up from the normal coffee because insted of draining the coffee out of the coffee beans, it was just desolved in the hot water to produce instant. It didn't taste as good though. -

The stanless steel was invented in 1912 20th of August by Henry Brearly and used as a steel that doesn't rust.
