Eventually, Patriots John Paulding, Isaac Van Wart, and David Williams found the letters that said the Benedict Arnold's treason and offering the British the West Point for 20,000 pounds. Andre was captured. -

After his plan to cede the West Point to the British was exposed by the four patriots named David Williams, John Paulding, Isaac Van Wart, and Colonel James Livingston, John Andre was captured and Arnold fled from West Point. That day, John Andre was executed for spying on American troops by the order of the General of the Armies, George Washington. -

Arnold, with Germans, or Hessians if you will, invaded Fort Griswold in New London and Groton Heights in Connecticut. This resulted the British victory. -

This marks the end of the Battle of Yorktown of 1781. Before that, Arnold requested Gen. Clinton to talk about the war, this was also happened even after Cornwallis's defeat. -

Benedict Arnold's gout became worse, because of this, he suffered the edema and delirium. Died of age of 60 from the disease complications. His death was placed in London, Kingdom of Great Britain, or just simply England. Because of his treason, no military companions from either United States or United Kingdom attended his funeral.
