In 1600 the aboriginals where the first inhabitants in Australia. At this time the Aboriginals had just seen the first Euroupens.The Aboriganals would always travel to one place use most resources then move again. So next time they came back all the resources would have grown back. -

54 ships were estimated that had contact with Aboriginal people at this time. -

The industrial revolution changed lives. It replaced the workers with machines. New machinary was invented which at the same time made some people rich,some very poor.So the population grew quickly. -

At this time the war of Independence started between America and England.The Americans won the war of Independence. -
Prison Hulks
The English government decided to send people (convicts) on ships called hulks. The government stored the convicts in hulks for about 80 years. -
First fleet arrives
In 1788 the first fleet arrived at Botany Bay which Joseph Banks declared suitable for a place to rest after a long journey. The penal colony were the people who stole or murderd anyone. The government wanted to declare Australia for power in there country. -

New South Wales
The Eastern part of Australia was claimed and named New South Wales. -
Van Diemans land
Van Diemands land was declared as a seperate colony. -
Swan river colony
On 2 May 1829,Charles Fremantle found Western Australia and made a colony called Swan River Colony. -
Western Australia
On the 6th Febuary 1832, the Swan River colony was renamed as Western Australia. -
South Australian border
On the 28 December 1836,South Australia was proclaimed as a colony. Its western border was the 132nd meridian of longitude east. -
Victoria
Victoria became its seperate colony in 1851 and had Melbourne as its capital. -
Van Diemens land
Van Diemens Land was renamed as Tasmania in 1856. -
South Australia becomes self-governing
South Australia became self-governing in 1857 with Adelaide as it's capital -
Moreton Bay
Moreton Bay became the colony of Queensland in 1859 with Brisbane as capital. -
Western Australia
Western Australia became a seperate colony with Perth as capital. -
Federation
The first federal eletion are held.The Commonweth of Australia is inaugurated.Edmund Bartonwas selected as priminester.
