Birthday
I was born in Brigton, England along with my 2 brothers, 3 sisters, mum and dad. My life is very steady. I live in a nice home with very nice family members. They all love and care for me and my needs. I am very religigious and I respect my religion and others do as well. My family and I left this country to find a better life for our children. We hope to gain good education for the children and good work for me and Isabella. I wrote this autobiography so people see what we go through. -
Ellis Island
I arrive at Ellis island with my wife ,Isabella and our 2 children, Joe, and Zoe. There were thousand of people at Ellis Island. I could hardly breath. We almost lost the kids a few times. We hope to not have to stay here at the immigration station overnight or for a long time becuase the kids are getting very roudy. The kids aren't taking the whole "stay calm" thing. They won't settle down. There are many people and I don't know what I am going to do if another steps on my foot. -
Doctors check
We have finally gotten our doctors checks. They say that we are all completely healthy. We can get off of Ellis island on a small pathway that is fairly scary to cross considering that you have to hold onto two small, wandering children. We -
Get a job
I have been out searching for a job. Everyplace I go to says that I have a good opportunity at a job in construction. I went to the construction site and I talked to the manager and I told him I would work 10 hrs for 2 dollars. He agreed on the hours and the price and he gave me the next available job. I finally went "home" and told my wife that I got a job and she was so overjoyed. She got a job in a sewing building. We were going to have a wonderful life here in New York. I can't wait to go. -
Almost fall of building
I was at work for the 4th time this week. It was very scary becuase I hadf to work ontop of the building. I was scared to death and I was severely afraid of heights. I didn't know how I was going to this. When I got to the top of the building I just thought of being home with my wife and my kds. I got halfway across and I stumbled and I fell only onto my arm on the beam. I broke 2 bones in my right arm. Lucky me. I told Isabella and she told me that I was a complete clutz. -
Move home
I am moving bakc home with my family back to Brighton becuase I have been getting injured quite often at my construction job. I don't want to kill myself and the leave my family alone becuase then our 2 kids would grow up without a father. I wouldn't want to put the m through that. We are going home In 2 days. I hope that I will come back to New York to see what the other people have made it look like in a few years. I hope it looks as beautiful as it does now.
