    Preparing for the Trip:
By the time we had finished packing, we had already researched eco-friendly travel tips for beach destinations. We made sure to gather reusable water bottles, reef-safe sunscreen, and shopping bags that wouldn’t contribute to plastic waste. We hadn’t packed any single-use plastics, knowing how harmful they could be if they ended up as litter on the beach or in the ocean.
  • Day 1

    Arrival and Beach Walk:
After we had arrived at the beach resort, we spent time reviewing the local guidelines to ensure we would follow sustainable tourism practices. We then enjoyed a peaceful walk along the shore, taking in the beautiful sunset. However, we made sure not to step on the delicate sand dunes, understanding that it could cause erosion and disturb the plants that help preserve the beach.
  • Day 2

    Surfing Lessons:
Before starting our surfing lessons, we had made sure to check that all the equipment we used was eco-friendly. We spent the afternoon catching waves, thrilled by the experience. Importantly, we avoided using any sunscreens with harmful chemicals, aware that they could leach into the water and damage the fragile coral reefs and marine life.
  • Day 3

    Snorkeling Adventure:
By the time we had reached the snorkeling site, we had taken off any jewelry or accessories that could accidentally be lost in the ocean. We spent hours marveling at the vibrant fish and coral formations. We were careful not to feed the fish, as we had learned that doing so can disrupt their natural feeding habits and harm the ecosystem.
  • Day 4

    Departure:
Before leaving the beach, we had participated in a beach cleanup event, where we collected litter and plastic waste left by other visitors. We took pride in contributing to preserving the beach’s natural beauty. As we left, we ensured that we hadn’t left any trash behind, understanding how important it is to keep the beach clean for future visitors and the wildlife that calls it home.
