The United States sent soldier to Cuba to train their soldiers. Kennedy approved the plan without know much of the plan. Their hopes was it would cause a riot in Cuba, The relationship between cuba and The United States was jeapardized. -

The plan to invaded cuba and start a riot completely failed. they were to take out the cuban airfore but didnt. Most of the US soilder became prisoners and or killed. Kennedy made a deal to get those soilders back. After this big embarrassment Cuba and the soviet union thought we were fools. -

The Soviet Union and the united states still to this day have a little tension, both countries are greatfull that this event did not lead to a full on nuclear war.
