Battles timeline

  • The Battle of Lexington& Concord

The battle of Lexington & Concord was the great battle that led to all the other battles including the Breed's Hill battle. Without this battle the treaty of peace would have never happened.
  • Fort Ticonderoga

  • Battle in Breed's Hill

The British ended up winning the battle in Breed's Hill only because the Americans were out of ammunition and decided to retreat. The Americans had 1,000 people wounded or dead while the British only had 400.
  • Attack in Princeton

  • The battle in Long Island

In this battle the British attacked George Washington's fortified positions. While the British were preparing to make their final attack Washington and his army were able to escape. This battle ended up being a British win.
  • The attack in Trenton.

This attack happened on Christmas day by Washington and his army at dusk. Poor of the British, (they had it coming though, they shouldn't have been so mean in the first place!) they were asleep and badly guarded so the Americans happily (though they weren't very happy) killed 40 soldiers and captured almost 1,000 of them.
