World war 2 begins
The French and British declare war on Nazi Germany and Italy. -
France
One of the first major battles. The battle was fought in France, with the French army being helped by the British. It was Allies against the Nazis. The Allies lost and the Nazis took over France. French soldiers died, as well as most British soldiers, but some made an escape at Dunkirk. The Nazis were able to do what Germany failed to do in the First World War, and took France. -
Battle of Britain
This battle was mostly arial. The luftwaffle (Nazi Air Force) commenced an air bombing rain on Britain. British fought back with radar technology. -
Attack on Soviet Union
Hitler launched the Largest invasion ever on his former allies, Stalin and the Soviet Union. He took of very large portion of the huge territory and millions of Russian lives were lost due to Russia being unprepared. -
Moscow
After months of crushing defeats by Germany, the soviets were able to successfully hold their ground and halt the Nazis at Moscow. -
Pearl Harbor
The Japanese Air Force attacked the American naval base of Pearl Harbor in order to stop them from fighting in the war. This ended up backfiring though, because America, filled with rage, finally joined the war on the side of the Allies. -
Stalingrad
In the Nazi invasion of Stalingrad, the Soviets fought back hard and ended up prevailing, defeating the Nazis and stopping them in their tracks as well as ending the invasion. -
World War 2 ends
After the Nazi and Italian defeat, America bombs Japan and the war officially ends.
