The Battle was between the German eighth army and the Russian first and second armys. the Germans lost the battle with the russian first army and then retreated by train. they then surronded the Russian second army destroying them. The battle was influential because if the Germans had lost the Battle of Tannenberg then Berlin would be almost undefended from the Russians. The Russians suffered 170k causilties the Germans only 12k

    This battle took place in italy near the town of vittorio veneto.The battle was between the T.E.A and the Austro-hungrian empire.The terrain was hard and the river was flooded at the time of the battle. The Austro-hungrian empire had more soilders but the T.E.A had more artillery. The T.E.A won and ended the war on the italian front and secured the end of the Austro-hungrian empire. The T.E.A suffered 38k causulties Austo-hungry lost 300k men as prisoners the had 100k wounded and 35k dead

    The central powers surrendered within weeks of each other. the furst was bulgria which signed an armistance on the 29th of september. Following this the ottoman empire capitulated the next day. on the 3rd of november the Austro-hungrian empire surrended. German surrended on the 11th of november. After this the war was officialy ended by the treaty of versailles in 1919. The treaty blamed germany for the war and demanded harsh reperations.

    The treaty of versilles finally ended the war officialy bettween germany and the triple entente. One feature of the treaty was a harsh restriction on the germany military which crippled their power. Another part of the treaty was reparations to the allies which destroyed the german economy and led to germany printing money to pay off the debts. One of the most interesting parts of the treaty was Article 231 which forced germany to admit that they caused WW1 despite haveing no role in its start.
