  • Battles of Lexington and Concord

    Many British troops were sent to confiscate the colonists weapons but ran into an angry militia whom attacked and killed 700 British soldiers in the process thus boosting the colonists for their war ahead
    The two people the british soldiers had wished to catch were John Hancock and John Adams
    Paul Revere had warned Lexington and Concord that the british troops were coming from his famous line, "The British are coming!"
    Around 122 men died
    The colonists were in full rebellion over the King
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    The battle of Bunker Hill took place in 1775
    They were under the command of General William Howe and General Robert Pigot
    The British charged toward Bunker Hill three times
    The casualties of bunker were major. 2,200 redcoats almost all of the the army that was fighting for bunker hill had been killed. The colonists had only faced 400 casualties. Although the British won the hill this gave the Americans hope in future battle with the british troops.
  • Battle of Trenton

    The Battle of Trenton was led by George Washington.
    General Washington crossed the Delaware River to attack Hessian and the British Garrison on Christmas Day which was a daring move on behalf of the Colonists.The outcome of the war was well, the colonists had captured the fort.
    The victories reasserted American control of much of New Jersey and greatly improved the morale and unity of the colonial army and militias.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    The battle of Saratoga took place in New York.
    The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the Revolutionary War. The scope of the victory is British and Hessian troops surrendered their arms.
