It was one of the largest battles of the Revolution and the bloodiest battle until the Civil War. The artillery that was one from it was a huge point in the war. The journey back it what we saw in the film with Abigail Addams feeding the soldiers and giving them water as they made their way back. -

Was very bloody. The British won but the colonists were seen as the winners because they killed more enemy soldiers and only were defeated when they ran out of ammo. -
Battle of Long Island
This battle was part of a British campaign to seize control of New York and isolate New England from the rest of the colonies. The British won against George Washington and his defeat could have led to the fall of his entire force but his ingenuity allowed him and his troops to escape. -
Battles of Trenton and Princeton
In Trenton Washington won 1/2 major battles by defeating a group of Hessian mercenaries before withdrawing. A week later he returned to lure the British south before capturing Princeton. -
Battle of Brandywine Creek
The British won because General Howe and General Charles launched a full-scale attack on George Washington's outpost in Brandywine Creek. The British had an advantage because they attacked in the morning covered by a dense fog. The troops split into two divisions so Washington was caught comepletly off guard. -

The colonists won but this entire ordeal was actually two battles fought seperatley and it was a decisive victory for the colonists. -

The British won. They captured over 3,000 Patriots and a lot of munitions and equipment. They lost only 250 and wounded. This was the colonists most devastating defeat. -
Battle of Cowpens
The colonists won. They routed British forces and inflicted heavy casualties to the British, the battle was the turning point in the southern war campaign. -
Yorktown
The colonists won and it was the last battle of the war. America was free and the British surrendered and left America and the colonists got all their southern land back.
