Battle of Lexington and Concord
The battle of Lexington and Concord was the first battle of the American Revolution.Lexington had supplies and the colonisits went there to get it but they didnt know England was going there also. Something happened while the colonists and the British were arguing and there was a gunshot. Because of the gunshot everyone started to shoot and England starts to retreat because they werent sent there to fight the colonists. It was known as "The shot heard around the world." -
Battle of Saratoga
The Battle of Saratoga was the turning point of the american Revolution. Bendict Arnold the 6th lead this war. Without this war the colonists would have lost the war. The british troops had surrendered. -
Valley Forge
Colonial troops overcame a harsh winter and had lack of supplies. During this time one third of the soldiers died. 0 people abandoned George Washington. When the winter ended the men were stronge, they werent scared of the british anymore. This horrible blizzard happened in December. -

THe Battle of Yorktown was the last major battle, Cornwallis surrendered because they had blocked his way out/home; surrounded him. -
Treaty of Paris
The treaty of Paris officially ended the war and established the US.It claimed that Great Britan did not own the colonies anymore. The colonies were now free and independent.
