Around 22,000 allied troops lost their lives in the battle of Dunkirk and around 2,000 civilians lost their lives. General John Gort was the leader for the British. The Germans were easily able to defeated the defenders, and the BEF was pushed back to Dunkirk.

    The battle of Moscow was fought between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. The battle lasted from September 30,1941 to January 7, 1942. It was the peak of Nazi Germans Operation Barbarossa. The commander in chief for Germany was Walther Von Brauchitsch, and the leader for the Soviet Union was Georgy Zhukov. Germany ultimately failed at capturing Moscow.

Emperor Hirohito was the leader of Japan, and Admiral Chester Nimitz was the US leader. The attack killed 2,400 troops from the United States and 129 troops from Japan. The Japanese won.

About 317 troops were killed on the American side. This was an American victory.

There were a total of 800,000 casualties.

The Germans had about 900,000 people and about 2,700 tanks and mobile assault guns. This battle was the largest tank battle in history. The battle involved 6,000 tanks, 2 million troops, and about 4,000 aircraft. The Soviet Union ultimately ended up winning the battle.

The Japanese defenders of the island were dug into bunkers deep within the volcanic rocks.This battle was conflicted between the US whose leader was FDR and japan whose leader was Tojo.Having the US win and secure Iwo Jima. Approximately 22,000 japan soldiers were killed. The US had about 24,000 casualties.
