    The Battle of Britain was a fight between the German Luftwaffe whcih was commanded by Hermaan Goring and the British Royal Air Force run by Sir Hugh Dowding's Fighter Command. This all took place on July 10, 1940 and didn't end until October. This was the first major military campaign in history to be fought in the air. Germans plan to win air superiority over Southern Britain and the English Channel was to destroy the British air force and aircraft industry. Hitler saw victory to invade Britain

  • Pearl Harbor

    On December 7, 1941, hundreds of Japanese fiter planes attacked an American Naval Base in Pearl Harbor. 20 American Naval vessels were destroyed, more than 2,000 soldiers and sailors were killed, 1,000 were wounded, 8 battles ships, and almost 200 airplanes were destroyed. After the attack, the United States declared war on Japan and Japan did the same. America was finally apart of World War 2.

It was consider to be the greatest battle of the entire conflict, but was one of the bloodiest in history. This battle was considered a turning point in the war on the Eastern Front and one of the most crucial engagements of World War II.

    The Battle of Anzio occured on January 22, 1944. The battle started do to the Allied attempt to draw German troops off the Gustav Line during Operation Shingle. After four-months during which British and American lost a total of seven thousand killed, thirty-six thousand wounded or missing, and forty-four thousand hospitalized from nonbattle injuries and sickness, the Batlleof Anzio finally ended on May 23, 1944,
  • Battle of the Bulge

    Battle of the Bulge
    During the Battle of the Bulge, the Germans suffered more than 100,000 casualties and Americans suffered about 81,000. The Germans tried to split British and U.S forces in northern France. They attacked through the Ardennes Forest in eastern Belgium, with hundreds of German tanks and thousands of German troops broke through the American lines. American soldiers fighting in small groups in the cold and snow that stopped the German advance. On Jan. 8, 1945 Germans began to withdraw from the Bulge
